Urban comfort food, New York style, is what you can taste at Flatiron.
Flatiron is one of the restaurants of 1771 group, the same group that operates Sentro 1771. The restaurant is based on the concept of the on-the-go lifestyle of New Yorkers.
“Experience urban comfort food, hot off the griddle.” This is Flatiron’s tagline. They pride themselves with their signature griddle, which is a heated flat iron plate used for cooking.
It’s not surprising to see celebrities here. Just like Senator Koko Pimentel.
It has a high ceiling. The restaurant is well-lit. The play of light colors of beige and white with touches of red and black, make the place easy on the eyes.
Now for the food.
It’s like having pizza turned pasta! Definitely a comfort food for pizza and pasta lovers. It’s made of bowtie pasta, napolitaine sauce, bell peppers, salami, and bacon covered with cheese and gratinated.
Corned Beef Skillet
This is my happy place. In fact, this is my favorite dish here. The biggest chunks of corned beef, big on taste too! This dish is made of browned corned beef chunks sautéed with onions and tomatoes, served with two sunny side up eggs and potato bread rolls or rice.
Peanut Butter Delice
I love peanut butter, and to have a cake with loads of this is pure delight. Peanut butter delice is made of chocolate peanut praline, chocolate peanut ganache; hazelnut, almond, and cashew sponge; and caramel chocolate mousse.
Ginger Snap Cheesecake
This is cheesecake made even more refreshing with that taste of lemon, complemented by the taste of ginger with its ginger snap cookie crust.
