Start your day right and prepare for all the activities waiting for you in Baler. How do you do this? Simple, by having a super awesome breakfast to jumpstart the good vibes.
Breakfast buffet at the Beach House is my favorite morning experience in Baler. Of course it’s the food that becomes the main attraction, but to call this an experience, the ambiance and service have to be counted.
The Beach House is the restaurant of what has been tagged as Baler’s best resort, Costa Pacifica.
As early as six in the morning, the packed food stations are already waiting for excited tummies. What I like about buffets is that there’s no more waiting time. I don’t have to order. Everything’s just there for me to devour.
I enjoy waffles that are slightly toasted to give that perfect crunch. So, I asked the server to toast mine. You can have fruits, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, jam, butter, maple syrup, and everything that you can put on top of your waffle. I had mine with chocolate syrup and I also headed for the cheese station to have a generous amount of cheese distributed on it.
Bacon’s my perfect waffle partner. In fact, I had a plate full of bacon. But of course, I shared that with my friends.
Their pancakes have smileys on them. I found that refreshing to look at and I had to smile back.
A crowd favorite, and mine too, is the pizza station. The restaurant’s resident Pizza Man, Chef Mighty Maniaol, is so proud of his thin crust masterpiece cooked in their brick oven. He gets very busy because his pizza plate has to be replenished every five minutes. I tried his cheese pizza, cheese and bacon, and cheese and ham.
Their Chow Mien stir-fried noodles is also delicious. However, they don’t serve this regularly. They rotate their noodle selections.
Some of the other food stations you can try include Filipino breakfast, eggs and omelets, cereals, fruits, bread, and congee.
The tropical ambiance is just perfect. You can eat inside, or near the pool area. The towering coconut trees, sea breeze, and whispering waves of the beach will keep you company.
The breakfast buffet happens only when there are a lot of expected guests. During lean days, they serve a la carte. So, if you want to experience their buffet, better inquire days ahead.
For walk-ins, the breakfast buffet can be availed at Php650 per person until 10am.
